OBS were engaged to implement the award winning OBS solution ‘Knowledge Central’ on behalf of Yallourn Energy.
OBS was able to assist Yallourn Energy in the alignment of IT and the business plan, hence increasing the value of its existing Microsoft IT investment. Yallourn Energy now has ‘Finger Tips’ a SharePoint portal that is the centre of their knowledge management strategy. ‘Finger Tips’ also met Yallourn Energy's requirement for computing anywhere, anytime on any device and has empowered employees working in non-office environments such as mines or power stations where PC’s are not readily accessible. Employees are able to can share their intellectual property or access vital business data, extracting data from 20 different sources, hence improving the quality of management information at hand.
