Primelife were looking for a document management solution based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 functionality. Following discussions on Primelife’s business issues and needs, OBS recommended the OBS Knowledge Central solution as being suited to meet Primelife’s key business need to connect their employees with the information they need across the enterprise, anytime, anywhere.
Knowledge Central is a richly integrated portal solution providing a central point of collaboration and knowledge. Designed to build a more agile organisation, the platform of Knowledge Central is a web based SharePoint portal integrated with the full range of Microsoft Office System products. In addition OBS scanned hardcopy documents and contracts into electronic document format and saved these into SharePoint sites allowing ease of access as well as search, auditing and workflow to be applied across the documents and contracts.
Primelife now has a secure document repository called “Primelife Central” with powerful information aggregation and advanced document management features. Primelife Central provides presence awareness eliminating delays in locating and communicating with other users, as well as electronic forms which enable Primelife to collect and distribute data for purchase orders and job vacancies. Primelife project teams have experienced improved productivity through ease of information access due to project documentation, activities and tasks all being compiled into one SharePoint teamsite per project.
