OBS are delighted to announce our Brisbane office is now open. This is an exciting step forward and stamps OBS as a national services provider.
We have also just opened an office in Seattle USA. This will allow us to develop deeper relationships within Microsoft's Redmond head office and better support the rapid adoption of Nintex products (a brand of OBS) in this critical market. We foresee that this permanent presence in Seattle will pay great dividend's, to both OBS and our customers, as we will be able to work closely with Microsoft's strategic and architectural direction, and ensure OBS solutions align with Microsoft's future direction.

OBS is proud to announce the opening of our Canberra office. After two years helping ACT Public Sector customers build high performance workplaces, OBS has set up premises in the nation's capital to meet growing demand. The office, located in National Circuit Barton, will be lead by respected Canberra local, Craig Brown. Craig is an exciting addition to the OBS team with extensive government IT knowledge and firsthand experience of enabling government to optimise the impact from their IT investments.
OBS is Australia's premier SharePoint™ systems integrator with over 70 consultants specialising in the design, implementation and support of Microsoft solutions. The OBS Canberra office will offer the same high level of service as our existing offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

OBS has been recognised by Microsoft for our specialist skills with Microsoft BizTalk Server and been awarded the Microsoft Business Process & Integration Competency.
The Microsoft Business Process and Integration Competency recognises OBS’s proven proficiency in implementing and deploying business process applications featuring Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Business-to-business application integration (B2B), Business Process Management (BPM) Solutions and Adapter Development.
OBS has just renewed as a 2008 Microsoft Gold Partner and also possesses the Microsoft Advanced Infrastructure Competency and the Microsoft Information Worker Competency, which acknowledge OBS’s skills with Microsoft technologies, in particular Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Exchange. |

OBS has signed an outsourcing agreement with the Department of Education (Victoria) for the provision of specialist Microsoft support services over a two year period. OBS will provide Microsoft technical and architectural support services to the department including support of the 70,000 user Email system based on Microsoft Exchange, EduMail.
The Department of Education (Victoria) is rated number one on the MIS Top 100 Australian IT organizations with 65,000 staff and teachers in over 1600 locations across the state.
This new agreement between OBS and the Department of Education will continue to strengthen the strategic partnership between these organizations with an eight year history in helping Victoria provide world class technology innovation to public education. |

OBS was awarded the Best of Microsoft Tech Ed USA Award under the Business Applications category for it's Nintex workflow product. Other finalists in the Business Applications category were K2 and Biscom.
The Best of Tech Ed Awards recognise those who offer innovative products across 15 categories and is run by Windows IT Pro, SQL Server Magazine and Office & SharePoint Pro.Com. The judges reviewed over 260 IT products and services submitted for the contest and chose 45 finalists to be interviewed at Tech Ed in Orlando, Florida. Winners were announced on 6th June at an evening reception at the Peabody Hotel Orlando.
"This is the sixth year of this awards program and every year we see a substantial increase in the number and level of entries," said Karen Forster, group editorial and strategic director. "While we had many worthy products, the winners clearly demonstrated their products' strategic importance to the market, its competitive advantages and the value they provide to customers".

OBS was selected as a finalist in the Microsoft QuickStart for Search Innovative Solution Contest for it's DigiLearn search solution implemented at the Department of Education (Victoria).
This contest was run by Microsoft to highlight Enterprise Search solutions built on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 and recognise the specialist MOSS 2007 Search skills attained by Microsoft partners such as OBS to empower people to find information and expertise anywhere in the organisation. OBS have won a fully coordinated, public case study featuring the DigiLearn solution to be posted on the Microsoft website and to be promoted through the Microsoft sales force, newsletters and intranet.
The DigiLearn search solution implemented at the Department of Education (Victoria) acts as a central repository and distribution point for learning objects delivered by the Learning Federation. 65,000 Victorian teaching staff use an online intranet website to find, access and share learning objects.

OBS has been recognised for its successful introduction of an employee ownership plan by the Australian Employee Ownership Association.
OBS’s employee ownership plan was recognised by an independent judging panel as the best plan in an Australian company with less than 200 employees at the 2007 ESOP of the Year Awards. This award recognises the achievement by OBS’s founders to link OBS employees’ intrinsically with the company by encouraging pride and company ownership values, and in turn the employees will share in the long term prosperity and growth.

18 May, 2007This week OBS was the major sponsor of the APAC Microsoft SharePoint Conference where OBS helped make the conference a success giving all conference delegates free access to Nintex Workflow 2007 and Nintex Podcast Server 2007 via the conference MOSS 2007 website.
Microsoft Australia wanted to provide an easy way for both conference attendees and speakers to contribute content to the official conference website which was built on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) http://www.microsoftsharepoint.com/podcasts/Pages/default.aspx . This was achieved by using OBS’s product Nintex Podcast Server 2007 which allows easy creation and distribution of voice recordings. An approval process using OBS’s product Nintex Workflow 2007 was also included to ensure that content was relevant and suitable whilst allowing real-time creativity and sharing.
