HiFert was keen to streamline many of its repetitive business processes by developing online forms and workflows. The Price Quotation process was identified as needing initial attention.

OBS built a workflow approval solution using HiFert's existing SharePoint 2007 platform and the leading SharePoint-based workflow product, Nintex Workflow 2007. This solution enabled pricing to be approved in a simple, transparent process that could then be embedded into the customer's records, removing the need to manually attach emails and faxes to the customer's file.

Since it was implemented, HiFert has been delighted with the feedback. Results include:

• a direct saving in the customer administrative function of approximately 40 man hours per month;
• A signification uptake of employees using SharePoint, especially the Intranet;
• An overwhelmingly positive response to the solution;
• Massive interest from other business units to use this solution for a large range of issues
