OBS does not take good fortune lightly and acknowledges that there are many groups and organisations in the Australian community who require charitable financial and volunteer assistance.
Each year OBS asks its employees to vote on the 3 charities that it will support. Any money raised during the year by employees themselves or through team activities will be matched dollar for dollar by OBS. Currently the 3 charities that OBS is supporting are:
We realise that there are a huge number of very worthy charities so our philosophy of choosing 3 charities per year is that we can make a substantial contribution to those charities to really make a difference.
OBS also runs a Volunteer Leave Program where employees are offered 2 days unpaid Volunteer Leave per year. This leave is able to be used to assist in unpaid activities for a registered not-for-profit organisation that benefits the local community such as Red Cross, Can Do for Kids and the Big Issue.
We also support our employees participating in triathlon teams, Ride Around the Bay event, Oxfam walk and other fundraising activities.
